Herman Vandaele (born 1950) obtained a degree (licentiaat) in Applied Economics at the University of Antwerp (UFSIA) and a Master’s degree in Treasury & Banking and Tax Management at IPO Antwerpen (now Antwerp Management School). He also followed an Executive Management Programme at CEDEP/INSEAD in Fontainebleau and a Leadership Pogram at the University of Colorado Denver.
Until the end of December 2010 he was General Manager Corporate Projects at NV Bekaert, after having held various posts in the Bekaert group, both in Belgium and abroad, since 1975. He has many years’ experience in corporate and headquarter responsibilities. His expertise is wide-ranging, taking in areas including plant control, corporate finance, audit, personnel management, IT, corporate treasury and banking, M&A, shared services, investor relations and general management.
From 1985 to 2000 he was a lecturer at Ehsal and Vlekho colleges (now part of Hogeschool-Universiteit Brussel - HUB) and at IPO Antwerpen (now Antwerp Management School).
On 29 October 2010 he was appointed as an independent director of Almancora Société de gestion, with effect from 26 November 2010He is Chairman of the Board of Directors of Almancora Société de gestion since 29 November 2019.
